The Wedge Trophy

Welcome to the official website of The Wedge Trophy.

The Wedge Trophy was founded in 2010 by two great friends over a few gin and tonics whilst summering in Spain. Mr. Charlie Waud from Walton Heath Golf Club and Mr. Michael Hedges from Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club.

For those of you that are interested, the name of the trophy came from a clever and funny combination of Waud and Hedges -along with adding the golf theme, The Wedge Trophy seemed a more than appropriate name for a trophy which now has a cult following.

The Wedge Trophy is played twice a year - once hosted at Walton Heath and once hosted at Deal.

This trophy is by invitation only - and competition for slots in this prestigious event is fierce.

The golf is an extremely competitive affair. The obligatory dinner and drinking session post golf has seen The Wedgers head to famous UK nightclubbing spots of Infernos, Clapham, JJ Whispers in Reigate and more recently Rivals in Deal.
